Ashtavakra Gita.

|| Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti ||

Ashtavakra Geeta
  1. Three factors cause disturbances in mind:
    i) Discomfort in own mind
ii) Discomfort of words we hear from others
    iii) Discomfort in body
    There is no 4th discomfort.
  2. Four pillars of body DHARMA – Body has its own demand we should fulfill it. If a body needs rest you should provide it. ARTHA – The means KAMA – The Desire MOKSHA – Relief from Desire.
  3. If there is no coordination between these 4 faculties then nature and desire are not coordinated.
  4. If there is no coordination between MEANS available – THE DESIRE and THE NATURE then sorrow comes.
  5. Body has to go through some experience; it is the nature of the body. One may be very healthy or one may be often remaining sick, but you should not think health is not alright, the more you put attention on sickness, and the more it grew. Wherever you put attention it enlivens that.
  6. If you put attention on negativity inside you, negativity grows.
  7. Knowing that there is disturbances in all above four faculties and disturbance everywhere, what shall I do? I should repose in myself. I should rest in myself.
  8. Turn back and look into your life, what all you have done. Have you done or it has all happened? Janaka says “it’s very clear in my life now that everything is happening. Whatever action I am supposes to do, time demands from me and I simply do it”.
  9. The mind which is not caught up in any concepts or ideas is hollow and empty. That mind can just act spontaneously from its very nature.
  10. Four principle of life: Wake up!
    i) Whatever you want to do, do it and be at rest. Decide I will do it and that’s it. Finish, your mind will be at rest.
ii) Drop what you cannot do
iii) What is required for you to do is put your 100%
iv) What is not required of you to do you relax there.
  11. Janaka says “Many yogis and saints have told me to do this and do that engaging people in doing so many things. I have done all of them, now I have come away from all these doings. Now there is nothing that I want to achieve, there is nothing that I want to lose, and there is nothing that I don’t have and I must achieve. I must rest. I am at peace now”.
  12. All these Courses, Pranayamas, Yoga, Kriya, Meditations are just toys for you to play to fall in love with divine. Once you fall in love with divine, job is done.
  13. Many people come and ask “Guruji, why you don’t ask this person to do sadhana, why you don’t ask that person to meditate?” I say “I know who is where, doesn’t matter”.
  14. Krishna himself says in Gita there can be several ways of Sadhana:
    i) Do some practices or sadhana when you cannot surrender.
ii) If you cannot do that, think whatever work you are doing you are doing for me, it’s mine work that you are doing.
iii) All that is done with sense of service and 100% enthusiasm is again sadhana
iv) Sing, Dance, Celebrate is again sadhana. There can be many ways to do sadhana and fall in love with divine.
  15. Some yogis recommend ACTION whereas some yogis recommend INACTION. But Janaka says “both these conditions to me are now just bound to body. I have now raised above all these things”.
  16. Janaka says “I am very much at rest if even I have nothing to do or I am very much at rest if time demands me to do much work, in short I am at rest in every situation”.

Ashtavakra Gita.

|| Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti ||

Ashtavakra Geeta

  1. Answers cannot satisfy doubts. Hearing and seeing cannot eliminate doubt. Only PRANA can eliminate doubt. When PRANA in you low down, doubt arises.
  2. You know what is DOUBT? It is a state of mind. Doubt is not something other than state of mind. Such state of mind arises when we are not aware of life within us.
  3. What to do when you get doubt? More sadhana practices, kriya, pranayama. That is called “Shraddha/Faith”.
  4. There is no need to believe what you know, you have to believe what you don’t know is called “Shraddha / Faith”.
  5. When doubt arises in you FAST, MEDITATE, DO PRANAYAMA, PRAYERS. And see whether the doubt remains. It is shifting of your consciousness.
  6. Have you noticed this, the day you do Kriya, Pranayama – that day you become so alive from every cell of your body that no doubt in you occurs. You know why you feel so wonderful then? Because there is no toxins in your cells then.
  7. Are you sure you are here on this planet? Are you sure you are not dreaming? Are you sure earth is there beneath you? What is it that you are hanging on to? How long will this drama go on? How long will this play go on? What is happening? What is the origin of this mind? From where all these thoughts and grumbling arises? From where all your concepts arises? How do they arise? How your like and dislike for people arises? WE DON’T ASK THESE QUESTIONS TO OURSELVES!! WE DON’T RIDE ON THE HORSE OF THESE QUESTIONS WHICH ARE VERY SUCH BASIC BUT KEEP ASKING SILLY QUESTIONS.
  8. YOU GO ON ASKING SILLY QUESTIONS LIKE: Why ME? Why I am unhappy? Why so and so should say such words to me? Why so and so bad mouthing me? Why so and so is rude to me? Why so and so is nasty to me? Our doubts are also silly. Our questions are also insignificant.
  9. Spending our whole life in asking such questions does not takes you anywhere, it’s like sitting in merry-go round and keep asking yourself again and again to which there is no answer neither solution.
  10. Ashtavakra says Janaka “Like the waves on the surface of the water, when a wind has blown on the ocean of your consciousness, so many thoughts, ideas and ideologies arises, they are useless, let them come. Don’t worry”
  11. Just do this experiment: Go to your best friend and say YOU ARE HOPELESS PERSON or push a button in them, for a couple of nights they won’t sleep. A huge wave of thought will come into their mind and all your words will act to them as contrary.
  12. Do not blame others; it’s all in your mind. Your worries, feelings, thoughts in your all mind. You are totally responsible for all of them.
  13. Have you ever seen yourself as a LIFE and not as SOMEBODY? What is your relationship to yourself, throw everything out of yourself just for 5 seconds and ask to yourself: WHAT AM I? WHO AM I? WHAT DO I WANT?
  14. Have you experienced burning life in your very body? You are a lively consciousness, you are glowing light. Why you doubt this?
  15. When someone experience bliss, they doubt IS IT REAL? AM I NOT DREAMING? Authenticating that you are glowing consciousness is enlightment.
  16. ” विजियोबािा ” (Feverishness) takes you no where. Just do this experiment: “Sit with someone who is feverish for something and you will feel aversion”. This is secret.
  17. If any blessing has to be given, give a blessing of “Vijvarobhava”. BE DEVOID OF FEVERISHNESS. Say “If that has to come, it will come”.
  18. Patience comes when you are devoid of Feverishness. Let the feverishness in word let not catch on to you for any reason, it’s not worth it.
  19. Though your experience of silence is even for 2 seconds, 2 minutes or for 2 hours, believe in it. Though only for few moments, believe in yourself.

Ashtavakra Gita.

|| Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti ||

Ashtavakra Geeta

  1. “If you need me, I am here for you; I will do all possible things for you”. If these words haven’t come out of your mouth then you are living in fear, in distress. But if you utter these words then those are the moments when you have really lived your life: says Ashtavakra.
  2. Can the thirst of your eyes be quenched? Impossible. Beauty is infinity; there is no end to it. How much you can see through your eyes, there is a limit. How much you can hear your praise, there is limit. The praise is infinite but your capacity to hear is limited. How much can you taste? How much can you smell? You can go and work in Perfume factory and you will see you will hate perfumes in no time. Same this with touch. All our senses have limitation.
  3. Life is so small. If it is not shared it diminishes.
  4. You say “I am here for you” to only your close ones, but if you can say this to everyone that is “Seva/Service”. Service is your inner state.
  5. What do you have in first place that someone can snatch away from you? Such fear really draws you down.
  6. सेिा is the essential that everyone has born to do. Inside your heart you have this attitude “I am here available”. सेिा is not an action. It’s your inner attitude.
  7. A beggar comes to you and you throw some 5/- and say you have done some charity, it’s not a charity, you have even lost your 5/- doing this.
  8. No action can be flawless but actor can be flawless.
  9. Seva is s not a favor that one does to somebody or action to somebody, but it’s an expression of inner love.
  10. Seva is the only work which is done without Vasana (or being selfish). Whereas meditation, sadhana has (selfishness) in it because you do that for yourself.
  11. Even behind your smile you want something from other person, thus you smile. Your look changes, your dress changes, your behavior changes, your attitude changes, because behind every change there is some want you crave for. There is “I” behind everywhere.
  12. ” ननिािसना सऩूतिभत्रो ना ककंचचड इनत ननस्चाई ” – When you do action without Vasana then you become embodiment of bubbling enthusiasm.
  13. Have you observed “Your enthusiasm is always connected with some gain for you”. Either in form of wealth, or recognition or fame, or some physical joy, then you are enthusiastic. It’s like nice ice-cream but lot of sand in it. Every words you speak to others, you show off a tone “Look at me, I am something here, I am somebody, give me importance”.
  14. Much of energy is wasted in trying to charm others, I tell you it’s opposite will happen.
  15. There is a concept in India that a yogi should not be enthusiastic about anything, not even about taste or what he is eating. He should mix everything in bowl and eat no matter whether it is sour or sweet. Such concepts are funny and meaningless. When there is no enthusiasm, where can be joy?
  16. Be enthusiastic about something that you never like before. That is play. That is how you lose seriousness in life.
  17. Life is a ball in a hand to play. You hold on ball then how you would be able to play. Throw the ball and it will come back to you with double enthusiasm.
  18. You are free and this knowledge makes you free. Just be Enthusiastic.
